Being active on social media should be part of an outlined plan and include a social media policy to ensure you can keep track of everything and all employees, partners, or outside parties including any legal guidance or carriers you work with are aware of your company’s policy. Outlining your policy now and distributing it to those it concerns is an important part of ensuring you are consistent and compliant.
Make sure you click here to get our Social Media Policy Template, which will help make it quicker and easier for you to create a comprehensive policy. Also, consider adding to it and including any of the following sections to enhance it:
- Code of Ethics
- Supervisory Policies
- Detailed Archiving Plan and Procedures
- Any additional, relevant policies or procedures as required by your business or broker/dealer, if applicable.
